The students learns seven additional Katas or treatment forms as well as additional practice in the meditation and healing forms of the oldest, original, and most traditional Wat Chetaphon method. Understanding of the Energetic Anatomy and Physiology, Ten principle Sen or Nadis and Chakras is deepened. Basic western anatomy and physiology as it applies to oriental body work is introduced at this time. This intensive course introduces the Fifty Basic Asanas of the Southern school as well as the concept of moving the body without effort. The SomaVeda™ concept of the "Therapeutic Day" is introduced at this time, as well as specific postures for specific imbalances. The role of the breath in partnership within the therapeutic encounter is discussed and practiced intently. The course is predominately hands on, with a thorough introduction to the underlying philosophy and theory of energy. This course focuses of the use of Puja or prayers and Mantra in the healing process. This is the oldest surviving school of Traditional Thai Medicine and this school claims its spiritual orientation as the reason why. We look in depth at the Buddhist and Tibetan roots of the treatment philosophy .
This class is "hands on" and quite intensive. It is designed to take your Thai Massage experience to a higher level. Advanced practitioner's will also benifit from the intensive tutoring and corrective guidance of a Master Instructor. There is no- prerequisite for attendance and certification in this class, however, Level One "Fundamentals of Thai Massage" is highly recomended.
