SomaVeda™ Ayurvedic Thai Yoga Massage (SomaVeda™ Level Two: Approved CEhrs. PMA, FSBMT, NCBTMB, MSBMT)

(Southern Method, A six to ten day program) Continuing the work begun in Level One . The student is introduced to the 50 plus traditional therapeutic Asana. The SomaVeda™ Therapeutic day concept and session protocol incorporating the seven additional Vinyasa, flowing sequences or treatment algorithms as well as additional practice in the meditation and healing forms of the oldest, original, and most traditional Wat Po or Wat Chetaphon based method. More commonly known as the Southern or Royal Method we explore variations from three different recognized or traditional Royal traditions: Buddhai Sawan, Wat Po and Anantasuk schools.This course is an Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy training and certification program. It is required for Thai Yoga Therapy Practitioner, Thai Yoga Therapy Teacher certification.

This Yoga therapy course is predominately hands on, with a thorough introduction to the underlying philosophy and theory of energy. “Sip Sen”, the Ten principle Sen or Nadis and the Seven Chakra. Basic western anatomy and physiology as it applies to SomaVeda™ Thai Yoga is introduced at this time.

 The SomaVeda™ student learns the concept of moving the body without effort, as well as specific postures for specific imbalances. The role of the breath in partnership within the therapeutic encounter is discussed and practiced intently. This course focuses of the use of Puja or therapeutic affirmations and Mantra in the healing process as originally introduced in the SomaVeda™ Level One course.

We look in depth at the historical roots of the treatment phillosophy . All SomaVeda™ Thai Yoga Classes begin with daily Hatha Yoga and or SomaVeda™ Thai Reishi Yoga meditation and practice. By conclusion of this program we expect the student to show knowledge , understanding and skill in the basic techniques of SomaVeda™ Thai Yoga. ( 48 to 100 Hr. practice credit available.)

Graduates at this level should under no circumstances consider themselves to be professionals or present their practice to the public as professionals. These classes are meant for educational purposes only and do not purport to make any medical recommendations. However, this class when practiced in conjunction with all of the SomaVeda™ provides a very firm and substantial foundation from which to become a professional! Level Five A & B is currently available as a module for our intermediate and Advanced Certified Thai Practitioner Programs (CTP 2 and CTP 3), Certified Thai Practitioner (CTP), Certified Thai Teacher (TCP), Certified Holistic Health Provider Programs (HHP).
