Dear Scholarship Applicant, Thank you for your interest in attending a The Thai Yoga Center workshop. Enclosed you will find the 2008 scholarship application form. Please take the time thoroughly read this information before filling out the application. The scholarship awarded will be applied toward the tuition, meals, and material fees, based on availability of funding and financial need. Scholarships will be awarded at a level of 50%, 75%, or 100% of the total cost. The determining factors in awarding a scholarship consist of financial need (see income Guideline sheet below), personal need and/or professional commitment of each recipient. If you do not meet the criteria, we do ask that you not apply for a scholarship. Be sure to allow six weeks for the scholarship to be processed. "Important" the scholarship fund is a result of private donations and a percentage of the revenue from TYC workshops. The Thai Yoga Center receives many more scholarship applications than the funding can support. As a result , TYC will offer only one scholarship per person during the course of the season 2007. If you meet the financial criteria you will be considered for a scholarship award: however, meeting the eligibility guidelines does not guarantee a scholarship. Upon determining your eligibility, TYC will notify you of your status by mail. On the application, accurately list your mailing address, zip code, and phone number. Please Note: Please do not send in applications for both the scholarship program and the work study program. If TYC is unable to offer you a scholarship, you will be automatically be considered for a work study discounts. You must indicate this on your scholarship application. Again, thank you for your interest. Your request is important to us and will be carefully considered. You will be contacted by mail regarding the decision, please do not call TYC to inquire about the status of your scholarship. This determines your eligibility only and does not guarantee a scholarship! If you are awarded a scholarship, the percentage of the total amount awarded will be determined using Federal Income guidelines. If you exceed these income guidelines, please do not apply for a scholarship. If you are not eligible for a scholarship, you may apply for a Work Study.
